DA Tshwane mayoral candidate happy with turnout

DA mayoral candidate for Tshwane, Solly Msimanga joined a relatively long queue to cast his vote bust said this was a relief.

Pretoria - DA mayoral candidate for Tshwane, Solly Msimanga, has cast his vote at Capital Park Primary School in Pretoria.

He was accompanied by his wife, Monde, and DA leader Mmusi Maimane. They joined a relatively long queue, but were taken to the front by IEC officials at the voting station.

Msimanga said the high voter turnout was precisely what they had expected as it showed that this election has massive support.

He said this was a relief considering the long journey his party had embarked on in the pre-election campaigning period.

The Tshwane mayoral candidate urged young people to vote in order to bring about they change that they want in the city.

The DA believes it stands a solid chance of taking South Africa's capital from the ruling party.
