Ex-governor James Ibori’s daughter was reportedly booed, at a valedictory ceremony.
Following the absence of her father who is serving out a jail term in the UK, Erhiatake Ibori was asked to represent him and read out a tribute at the valedictory ceremony held in honour of late Olorogun Felix Ibru.
Erhiatake Ibori, a lawmaker who currently represents Ethiope West constituency in the Delta State house of assembly, was reportedly booed off the podium before she concluded her reading at the gathering which was held at the government house in Asaba.

According to Sahara Reporters, Erhiatake seemed to display a certain lack of confidence from the moment she mounted the podium. The 36-year-old woman PDP lawmaker was said to have had difficulties reading out from the burial brochure provided.
She reportedly appeared ‘visibly frightened’ and was said to have repeated her lines and couldn’t bring herself to pronounce words like “magnanimous”and “meritoriously”, correctly.

The crowd reportedly turned their murmuring into boos as the ‘abyssmal performance’ continued, till she was rescued by former governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, who delivered his own tribute perfectly, inserting jokes here and there.
Uduaghan reportedly joked that Erhiatake’s glasses were probably faulty, causing the crowd to burst out laughing, seemingly forgetting the previous situation.
Hmmm…What if she was only just nervous?
