Man dies after vehicle skids into river
– A man has been reported dead after his vehicle plunged into a river in Lagos
– The accident was attributed to over speeding as the driver could not control the vehicle
A lifeless body of a man identified as Seun has been reportedly fished out from Majidun river in Ikorodu area of Lagos state.
It was said that his vehicle plunged into the river on Wednesday, August 24.

In the incident, a 19-year-old male occupant of the white Hyundai saloon car identified as Sadiq was said to have been injured and rushed to a nearby hospital.
The Nation reports that the accident occurred around 11pm was caused by over speeding.

Meanwhile another male adult was electrocuted to death while working inside a well in Egbeda area of the state.
Information reveals that the victim, a plumber, was contracted to carryout repairs in the well at Silver close, Odukoya estate Egbeda.
He was said to been electrocuted by the plumbing machine he used to execute the job.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) General Manager Michael Akindele said investigations will be conducted by relevant government agencies.
Akindele said: “The agency received a distress call regarding a person that fell into a well at Silver Close, Odukoya Estate, Egbeda, Lagos State around 2:35pm.
“His body was recovered and confirmed dead by men of the Lagos State Fire Services and the LASEMA Emergency Response Team along with officers of the Nigerian police (Gowon Estate Division).”

He urged residents to be safety conscious and ensure that speed limits are adhered to.
