In spite of regular reminders from the Union micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) ministry to all central government undertakings and public sector enterprises to comply with the Centre's public procurement policy (PPP) and procure at least 20% their total purchases from the MSME sector, the government bodies have failed to achieve the target.
