After a 7-year search, a missing German U-boat is lost no longer

The German submarine U-576 rests on its side, right where it sank in 1942. Its wooden deck plates have rotted away after 74 years underwater. But its hull, conning tower, and deck gun — nicknamed "Peterle," little Peter — are still there.
