Tinubu meets Aregbesola to discuss Akeredolu in Lagos (photos)
Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the governor of Osun state, has met with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos on Monday, September 5.
The high-ranking officials reportedly have met to discuss the emergence of Rotimi Akeredolu as the governorship candidate of the party for the November 26 election in Ondo state.

Recall that Akeredolu, aged 60, won the party’s primary election with 669 votes, defeating his closest opponent and Tinubu-backed Chief Olusegun Abraham, who scored 635 votes, defeating 23 other aspirants.

There were 2,774 accredited delegates who partook in the voting exercise. Earlier today there were reports about disarray in the APC camp as Governor Rauf Aregbesola has been accused of being responsible for Tinubu’s candidate loss at Ondo APC primaries.
The Ondo APC has been embroiled in crisis since the rumours circulated that Tinubu endorsed one of the candidates – Dr Olusegun Abraham.
On Thursday, August 18, warring members engaged each other in a gunfight at the APC secretariat in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

Earier today Aregbesola has been accused of being responsible for Tinubu’s candidate loss
On Tuesday, August 30, fetish objects were placed in front of the party secretariat to prevent members from gaining access into the building.
Last week, there were rumours that the primary election of the party maybe held in a military barrack to prevent breakdown of law and order.
