Area control centre (ACC) of Airports Authority of India (AAI) has started its trial run from the new technical block located on the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) premises at Kenjar from October 17. The new technical building was constructed for installation of air traffic control services along with control tower at a total cost of Rs 20 crore and the new control tower was commissioned and put in to operations on January 10, 2015.
