Steven R. McQueen Leaves Chicago Fire

On Tuesday's episode of Chicago Fire, Jimmy Borrelli (Steven R. McQueen) was badly burned during a response call after disobeying an order from Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker), thus putting an end to his career as a firefighter.

On the show, Borrelli and Boden have been feuding since the end of last season, when Borrelli blamed Boden for his brother's death at a scene.

Executive producer Michael Brandt had previously indicated that the rivalry between Borrelli and Boden would result in one of them leaving the house -- but he tells TVLine that the decision to have the axe fall on Borrelli was almost a foregone conclusion.
