Shock exercise sends 173rd Airborne Brigade engineers to Po River for lesson in bridge building

Paratroopers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade quietly paddled rubber rafts through low-lying fog on the Po River Monday night to reconnoiter the river before a bridging operation by Italian army engineers the next day.
