A greasy, English breakfast complete with fried eggs and sausages sounds more like an occasional indulgence than a prescription for long life, but for John Mansfield, it seems to be doing the trick. The 108-year-old ― believed to be the UK’s oldest male ― credits his longevity, in part, to his daily habit of a fry-up.
The centenarian has remained active his whole life, working as a farmer and living on his own until recently. The great-great-grandpa has always done manual labor and says staying on-the-go also has done wonders for him.
