The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially flagged off its governorship campaign in Akure, Ondo state, on Wednesday, October 19.

Among the representatives of the party was Peter Ayodele Fayose, the current governor of Ekiti state in Nigeria.
Recall that there were hopes that the main opposition party would present controversial business tycoon Jimoh Ibrahim, a factional candidate of the party who was declared the rightful governorship hopeful of the PDP by Justice Okon Abang.

However, the PDP has commenced its campaign by declaring Eyitayo Jegede its governorship candidate in Ondo state for the November 26 governorship election.
