Long waiting periods caused by biometric system a global problem‚ says Home Affairs

The Department of Home Affairs has defended the government's introduction of a biometric capture system‚ which leads to waiting periods of three to four hours at undermanned biometric capturing system checkpoints at OR Tambo International Airport.
