US general: Syrian Democratic Forces will lead the assault on Raqqa

The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces will lead the impending assault on Raqqa, the Islamic State group’s stronghold in Syria, despite the objections of the Turkish government, a top U.S. general said Wednesday.
