“The Leadership of the Peoples Democratic (PDP) has condemned the multiple bomb attacks in Borno State on Saturday October 29 and Sunday October 30, 2016, respectively.
“The attacks which took place in Maiduguri on Saturday, killing about 6 people, and the ambushing of our military the following day being Sunday in Damboa, Borno state by the Boko Haram sect is unfortunate and barbaric.”
The opposition party then saluted the bravery of the Army while also warning the government to shun propaganda in revealing the issues concerning the insurgency.
“We commend the Special Operation Unit of our Military, ‘Operation Lafia Dole’ for their courage and commitment to security of lives and property in the North-East irrespective of threat to life of their officers and men in the line of duty. We again commend the Military for averting another attack late Sunday, October 30, 2016.

“Finally, we call on all Nigerians to continue supporting government at all levels in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency. The battle indeed is not only for security agencies but for all citizens to provide information available to them that will aid government in the fight against terrorism.”
