Shame! These 7 athletes ended their career’s in disgrace
Sports is a lucrative way of escaping poverty and a major way of making one’s self a hero and celebrity to many worldwide.
However it seems many of these athletes like to shoot themselves in the foot with their antics on and off the pitch.
Here are seven cases of athletes who had so much at their feet but basically threw it all away and had their careers end in disgrace;
1. Zinedane Zidane
His final game was the 2006 World Cup final against Italy in which he has already scored. With the scores tied at 1 – 1 and into extra-time, Zizou headbutted Marco Materazzi who he claimed insulted his mother.
France lost the final in penalties and many feel they could have won if only he had kept his head for another five minutes.
