– The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has continued in court over the emergence of Jimoh Ibrahim as its candidate in the forthcoming Ondo election
– Photographs of top members of the party, including former governors and factional chairman Ahmed Makarfi, in court have been released
As the Abuja division of the Appeal Court begins its hearing concerning the governorship tussle in Ondo between two factions of the Peoples Democratic Party, photographs of anxious members of the party at the court have emerged.
The photographs were released by the party in retweets.

The matter had earlier come up, according The Guardian, and the three-member panel of justices headed by Justice Hannatu Sankey granted the parties extended time to harmonise their processes.
The court also directed them to file and exchange their written addresses in the case that seeks to nullify Jimoh Ibrahim’s candidature of the party.

The earlier report says Eyitayo Jegede, a factional aspirant on the platform of the PDP, in appeal No: CA/A/551c/2016, is challenging the October 14 ruling of a Federal High Court asking the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognise Jimoh Ibrahim as sole candidate of the party.
