These are Amazon’s picks for best books this November
The Insider Picks team writes about stuff we think you'll like. Business Insider has affiliate partnerships so we may get a share of the revenue from your purchase.
Most people could stand to devote more time to reading. We all make room in our busy schedules for the latest seasons of our favorite TV shows, but we reserve too little time for books.
If you're looking for something to keep you occupied before bed or on your commute to work this November, we suggest checking out Amazon's Best Books of the Month, a section of the site wholly dedicated to new releases in literature and fiction, nonfiction, history, and so on.
You'll find a spotlight pick (this month's is Michael Chabon's "Moonglow"), a featured debut pick (Donna Everhart's "The Education of Dixie Dupree"), and eight other books that Amazon's book editors loved for this month.
Keep scrolling. One of these recommendations might just inspire your next hardcover or Kindle purchase.

"Moonglow"
AmazonIt pains me to admit that I was a bit disappointed by Chabon’s last fictional offering, "Telegraph Avenue" (not a coincidence that I yawned when I typed that), but he is back with a work reminiscent of "Wonder Boys," "Mysteries of Pittsburgh," and especially "Kavalier and Clay" — the novels that made us fall in love with this masterful writer. "Moonglow" is an epic autobiographical novel that serves as a lovely homage to Chabon’s grandparents.
"Swing Time"
AmazonTwo childhood friends living in a low-income housing project in North London dream of becoming dancers. One has talent. The other…not so much. And so, this shared ambition launches their lives in very different directions, and teaches them different lessons about race, class, poverty, and the trappings of fame. This is Zadie Smith at her best.
"The Sun is Also a Star"
AmazonWe rarely select novels in the young adult category for our overall top ten list, but "The Sun is Also a Star" is one such exception. This National Book Award-nominated novel is a smartly-written romance that will appeal to an adult audience as well (even adults with cynical hearts).
