Donald Trump’s hand signs, expert reveals 4 HIDDEN meanings (photos)

When President Barack Obama met with the US president-elect Donald Trump, many people did not know what to expect, this is because during the election campaign, both men continually threw jabs at one another and in the Obama expected Hillary Clinton the candidate, he was backing to win the election.

However, with the election taking an unexpected turn, Donald Trump won and Obama gave a speech saying he would work to make the transition process smooth for the new president.

Yet, body language expert Patti Wood the author of ‘Snap: Making the Most of First Impressions, Body Language, and Charisma’ has analyzed this first meeting and has a totally different analysis of the meeting to give:

1. Obama was tired

According to Patti Wood, Obama was “extremely fatigued, resigned and not hopeful, while Trump was tentative, serious and perhaps fearful.”

Wood also pointed out that as Obama gestures, he rests his arms on his legs. “That’s not typical Obama which tells me he is weary.”

2. Trump was scared

Also, Trump’s hands revealed that he was scared and nervous. Wood says that Trump’s hands were in a ‘downward prayer position’.

Speaking to Daily Mail, the body language expert says: “The thing that is very significant is Trump’s hand position is that the downward prayer position, is not typical for Trump.”

“My read is that he has learned something he didn’t know before. It’s a tentative hand position.
“Trump holds his own hands as he begins speaking which is an indication he needs to comfort himself,” she concluded.

3. Both men tried to look tough

Talking about the posturing on the part of both men, Wood says: “If you look at the seating position – their lower legs, they are both in the male, alpha position saying ‘I am a man’.”

However, she also adds that Obama’s legs are much further apart, which demonstrates strength and reveals he is subconsciously saying, ‘I’m still on top’.

4. Obama lied

According to Wood, when Obama said:

“I have been very encouraged by the interest in President-elect Trump to work with my team around many of the issues that this great country faces and I believe that it is important for all regardless of party and regardless of political preferences to now come together, work together to deal with the many challenges we face.”

She wasn’t convinced. Explaining her reason, she says: “There is a part where he says he has been encouraged, as he says it he closes his eyes. I call that an eye block. That tells me he doesn’t feel totally encouraged.”

Both men met at the White House on Thursday November 10 and the meeting which was recorded on video showed that both men had put aside their differences.
