Cape Times 1969 lunar edition on sale ahead of #Supermoon

A rare Cape Times Lunar Edition from 1969 has been listed for sale ahead of the biggest and brightest super moon since January 1948.

On Monday night the sky will be lit up by the biggest and brightest super moon since January 1948, and coincidentally a rare Cape Times Lunar Edition from 1969 has been listed for sale online for only R195.

The newspaper edition, which reported on the first moon mission in 1969 was a special edition that focused on all things moon landing and is still in peak condition.

Claire Cobbledick, Head of Marketing for Gumtree SA, says that around special or tactical days, like the site of the brightest super moon in over 60 years, “the site often sees an influx of related listings”.

“Tonight’s super moon will definitely trigger listings of all things lunar in the coming week,” she comments; be it Star Wars memorabilia or moon rocks.
