Condolences from some prominent Nigerians have greeted the death of former Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki who died on Monday, November 14 after a brief illness.
Ibrahim Dasuki died on Monday, November 14, at the National Hospital in Abuja. He was aged 93.
Nigerians have continued to pay tribute to the former Sultan who has been described as a pioneer reformist who deployed his wide knowledge of Islam and vast experience as a technocrat to make profound impact on his family.

The death of the reformist at a time when his son, Sambo Dasuki, is facing charges for allegedly misappropriating the sum of $2b meant for the purchase of arms for the military has fueled the conspiracy that his son’s travails may have contributed to his demise.

Buhari in a statement released by the senior special assistant to the president Garba Shehu on Tuesday, November 15, Buhari noted that Dasuki was ‘a voice for peace’ when he was alive.
