NAF avenges death of Nigerian officer; carries out deadly bombing (video)

– The Nigerian Air Force attacked Boko Haram terrorists in Borno

– Some of the terrorists fled but were later cornered with many of them confirmed dead

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out an aerial bombardment of Boko Haram hideouts in Borno state.

The news of this offensive against the terrorists is coming just as the military lost another high-ranking officer, Lieutenant Colonel B.U. Umar.

Army sources said the Lieutenant Colonel and commanding officer of 114 TF battalion of the Nigerian Army was ambushed on Monday, November 14 morning and killed between Bita and Piridang.

“His vehicle stepped on an improvised explosive device, but he was not hurt,” a source said.

 “He came out to assess the damage on the vehicle and Boko Haram opened fire and killed him in the process.”

In astatement by the air force, the latest attack on the terrorist forced some of them to flee to Dogochuku where they were also attacked again.

Some of the terrorists were confirmed dead by the latest offensive.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out a recent attack on Boko Haram insurgents’ location outskirt of Malkonori in northern Borno State. The latest attack was a follow-up to the close air support operation that repelled the insurgents who attacked own ground forces at Kangarwa. Survivors among the insurgents had fled to Dogochuku where they were also attacked by NAF fighter aircraft and forced to relocate to Malkonori. Ground forces confirmed a number of the insurgents were killed and their vehicle destroyed from the latest air strike at Malkonori.
