Minnesota United to break ground on new soccer stadium
ST. PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota United plans to break ground on a new soccer stadium in St. Paul next week.
The team has scheduled a groundbreaking ceremony for Monday at 2 p.m. in the Snelling-Midway area.
United is making the jump from the second-tier North American Soccer League to Major League Soccer. The team will begin play in 2017 on the University of Minnesota’s campus while construction of the new stadium is completed.
