Robinson scores 33, Monmouth beats Wagner 81-71
NEW YORK — Justin Robinson made 6 of 8 from 3-point range and scored 33 points to help Monmouth overcome a 12-point, first-half deficit to beat Wagner 81-71 on Tuesday night.
Monmouth (7-2) pulled away with seven straight points to lead 70-59 on Robinson’s 3-pointer with 2:54 to play.
Blake Francis’ 3-pointer cut the deficit to 75-68 with just under a minute left and Wagner (2-5) would get no closer.
Micah Seaborn added 16 points for the Hawks, who trailed most of the first half before taking control early in the second.
