Barnette drills 3 treys in OT, Belmont beats Lipscomb 78-76
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Taylor Barnette drilled three 3-point jumpers in overtime as Belmont held off Lipscomb for a 78-76 win on Tuesday night.
Trailing 76-72 with less than a minute remaining in the extra period, Barnette nailed a trey and then hit the winner with five seconds left. Lipscomb’s Kenny Cooper missed one from long range as time ran out.
Rob Marberry almost won it for Lipscomb in overtime as he slammed home two dunks, blocked a shot and stole the ball twice.
