McLean’s career night leads Chattanooga past Marshall, 96-85
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Tre’ McLean scored a career-high 35 points and Chattanooga erased an eight-point halftime deficit to beat former Southern Conference rival Marshall, 96-85 on Tuesday night.
Jon Elmore hit a 3-pointer with 45 seconds left in the first half to give the Thundering Herd a 41-33 lead.
Marshall led by seven, 57-50 on a 3-pointer by Austin Loop with 13:21 remaining.
McLean hit a pair of 3-pointers to bookend a Makinde London layup, and added a pair of free throws to put Chattanooga up, 60-59.
