Danish suspect in police shooting is jailed for 4 weeks
COPENHAGEN, Denmark — A 26 year-old Danish man was jailed Wednesday for four weeks on suspicion of shooting a Danish policeman in the head outside a police station in suburban Copenhagen.
Prosecutor Morten Frederiksen said the man also was suspected of stealing a gun from a shooting range that was then likely used to shoot the canine squad officer on Tuesday.
Police said the injured officer was in critical condition Wednesday because doctors have not been able to remove the bullet in his head.
