Under Armour's stock tickers have changed; shares rally

Under Armour Inc. investors should take note that as of Wednesday the stock ticker for the athletic apparel's Class A shares has changed to "UAA" from "UA." The ticker for the Class C shares, which don't have voting rights, has changed to "UA" from "UA.C." The Class A shares was by far the more-active, with a full-day average of 8.5 million shares traded over the past 30 days, according to FactSet, compared with volume of 2.1 million shares for the Class C shares. The Class A shares surged 2.9% in active premarket trade, after closing at a near 2 1/2-year low as recently as Friday. The Class C shares rallied 1.2% ahead of the open. The Class A shares have tumbled 26% year to date through Tuesday, while rival Nike Inc.'s stock has tumbled 19% and the S&P 500 has gained 8.2%.
