Dozens of high school basketball games postponed due weather
INDIANAPOLIS — Many high school basketball fans in central Indiana will have to wait to watch their favorite teams until the weather improves and it’s safer to drive.
The Indianapolis Star (http://indy.st/2hG5vow ) Reports that the icy conditions prompted schools to postpone dozens of Saturday games for both boys and girls teams. Some have already been rescheduled but many schools have yet to determine when the games will be played.
Icy conditions caused scores of accidents on Saturday and conditions were so treacherous that police in Indianapolis urged motorists to stay off the roadways unless it was “absolutely” necessary.
