Hamlin, Sweeney of US are 1-2 in World Cup luge in Park City
PARK CITY, Utah — Erin Hamlin is heading into her Christmas break as happy as possible.
Hamlin won gold in a World Cup luge race on the 2002 Olympic track Saturday, her victory combining with a silver by Emily Sweeney to give USA Luge a sweep of the top two spots.
It was Hamlin’s third career World Cup win and her 15th singles medal on the circuit — not including her gold from the 2009 world championships, or her bronze from the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
