Sacramento State edges Abilene Christian 88-86 in double OT
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Justin Strings scored 22 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer, to help Sacramento State edge Abilene Christian 88-86 in double overtime Saturday night.
Strings, who finished with five 3-pointers, hit the go-ahead trey with 47 seconds left in the second extra period to give Sacramento State an 84-82 lead. Marcus Graves and Strings each got a pair of free throws down the stretch to pad the advantage as Abilene Christian twice cut the gap to two in the final 13 seconds.
