’Tis the season to be mandatorily happy. Hence the ubiquity of all the “Happy holidays” exhortations. Honestly (why would I lie to you?), it’s enough to get on my dyspeptic, curmudgeonly nerves. Christmas cheer? Not a fan, except when it comes wrapped in Christmas funny, in New Yorker cartoons, in this episode of The Cartoon Lounge.
