Michael Floyd inactive for new team New England
Michael Floyd will not play for his new team New England in the Patriots’ showdown with the Denver Broncos.
Floyd was claimed off waivers on Thursday, a day after he was released by the Arizona Cardinals, and he traveled with the Patriots to Denver. Arizona released the 2012 first-round pick after he was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and failure to obey a police officer.
The Patriots lack depth at wide receiver with Danny Amendola out with an ankle injury and Tom Brady’s top target, tight end Rob Gronkowski, on injured reserve.
