Drug den maintainer, two visiting cousins nabbed in Bacolod buy-bust
BACOLOD CITY – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental dismantled an alleged drug den at Purok Lubi, Barangay 3 in this city, resulting in the arrest of three persons, including two cousins in a buy-bust operation on Monday, July 11.
PDEA Agent Bamboo identified the subject as Ernie Catahay, and Murillo cousins – Michael and Birgo, who were caught allegedly visiting the drug den.
Agent Bamboo said the operation was conducted after almost two weeks of casing and surveillance.
However, the other companion of the Murillo cousins managed to escape by jumping from the window while operatives were approaching Catahay’s house, according to Agent Bamboo.
The three arrested persons were considered high value individuals, Agent Bamboo said.
Confiscated from Catahay were 12 grams of shabu worth P81,600, P500 marked money, an improvised tooter, and lighters.
One of the suspects, Birgo, has a previous case for theft, according to Agent Bamboo.
