Ukraine claims no evidence of incident on border with Russia

Russia has not confirmed the report of an attempt to illegally cross the Russian border from Ukraine, the State Border Service of Ukraine said. Ukrainian border guards noted that additional forces were sent to the area that the Russian FSB spoke about, but no facts of border violations were found.

“At the moment, there have been no facts of violation of the Ukrainian border in the area indicated by the adjacent side – and this is within the Sumy region. There is also no information that would confirm the authenticity of the message of the Russian border guards, ”- stated in the message on the website of the State Border Service of Ukraine. She noted that the representatives of Russia could not provide evidence later, and also did not transmit information about the alleged death in the shootout.

Earlier, the FSB reported that three unknown men with weapons tried to break through from Ukraine to the territory of Russia. According to the FSB, the unidentified persons resisted the arrest, one of them died in return fire.
