The Federal Tax Service (FTS) plans to combine the service “Taxpayer’s Personal Account” with the data of online cash registers, after which Russians will be able to see all their purchases paid with bank cards. This was stated by the head of the department, Daniil Egorov, according to the message of the Federal Tax Service, received by RBC after a closed meeting of the board of the service.

According to the head of the Federal Tax Service, from March 2021 Russia will launch a technology for the simplified receipt of property and investment deductions, which will reduce the time for refunding money to one and a half months. “The new technology is also being tested for drug deductions,” Egorov added.

“It is planned to combine a personal account with the data of online cash registers, which will allow users to see information about their purchases in tax offices and declare deductions literally by pressing one button,” Egorov said.

At the end of January, the State Duma in the first reading adopted amendments to the Tax Code, which simplify the registration of deductions for individuals. The bill provides for filing an application on the website of the tax service, without a personal visit to the authority. The innovation concerns deductions for expenses for the purchase of housing and the payment of interest on mortgages, as well as investment deductions.
