HC: Why not treat sand mining as a non-bailable offence?

Expressing serious concern over the indiscriminate exploitation of sand and the damage it is doing to the ecology, Justice C V Nagarjuna Reddy of the Hyderabad High Court has directed the Telangana government and mining authorities to explain by November 16 their stand on treating the illegal activity as a non-bailable offence.
