Synergy director`s lawyers accuse law enforcement officers of discriminatory treatment
ArmInfo. Lawyers for the founder-director of Synergy Ashot Hovhannisyan, accused of complicity
in the case of abuses in the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, considering yesterday's decision of the prosecutor to change the preventive measure for the other two defendants in the case, filed a similar petition in court.
Hovannisyan's lawyers remind that the essence of the alleged crime is
that an official of the Ministry of Economy abused his powers, and
their client incited and facilitated the abuse of these powers. "Now
none of the accused have been detained, except for the 71-year-old
director of the company. In other words, the style of work of the law
enforcement system becomes both illegal and discriminatory," noted
lawyer Gor Ohanyan.
The lawyers express their readiness to present to the public in more
detail the essence of the circumstances of the case in the near
future and prove that representatives of the Synergy International
Systems did not commit any criminal acts.
