EU Ambassador to Armenia was presented with results of work carried out at Margara checkpoint on Armenian-Turkish border

EU Ambassador to Armenia Vassilis Maragos. According to the press
service of the State Revenue Committee, the head of the committee and
the ambassador took a tour of the checkpoint territory.
The entire infrastructure of the checkpoint, the procedure for
submitting applications and the organization of procedures were
presented. It was emphasized that the control of the state border at
the Margara checkpoint, as well as at other checkpoints in Armenia,
is planned to be carried out according to the principle of complex
border management, through the "one window" system. The main
construction work of the checkpoint was carried out in a short time,
about six months. The overhaul of the building has been completely
completed, a comfortable service hall, a deep inspection hangar,
pavilions and warehouses for cargo preparation, parking lots, a
spacious landscaped area and other infrastructure facilities have
been built that meet international standards and are equipped with
modern technical equipment.
During the visit, the latest reforms in the SRC system were also
touched upon, as well as the implementation of agreements already
reached in the tax and customs areas within the framework of
international cooperation.
The EU Ambassador expressed satisfaction with the work carried out at
the checkpoint.
