In village with no doors, police secure lock-up with nuts & bolts
This is a village known for its age-old tradition of not having doors or locks on its houses, the belief being that the presiding deity, Shani, is unsparing of thieves. In keeping with this, even the newly-inaugurated police station in the village has a lock-up which uses a nut-bolt system on its doors instead of the usual aldrop. Located around 90km from Aurangabad, this village in Nevasa taluka of Ahmednagar district houses the Shri Shaneshwar Devasthan shrine.
