7 years after policy, state gets ecotourism board

Days after chief minister Devendra Fadnavis announced the state would promote community conservancy in the buffer areas of tiger reserves and sanctuaries, the state cabinet on Tuesday cleared setting up of Maharashtra Ecotourism Development Board (MEDB) to promote ecotourism in and around 52 protected areas (PAs).
