Banned colleges: HC reserves order
The Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court on Tuesday reserved the judgment in the case of Nagpur University’s 250 banned colleges operating without a single teacher or facilities. Even the other case filed by petitioner Sunil Mishra related to minimum 50% teachers in all colleges is also closed for orders. Both the matters were listed before a division bench comprising Justice Bhushan Dharmadhikari and Justice Vinay Deshpande. The case led NU to ban admissions in these colleges, but under political pressure, it had to withdraw the ban.
