These Cars Will Hit the Market This Month
The Indian car market is constantly buzzing with new launches, and June 2024 promises to be no different. From a performance-oriented hatchback to a luxurious electric sports car, here’s a look at some of the most anticipated four-wheelers expected to hit the Indian roads next month:
Tata Altroz Racer
This performance-focused version of the popular Altroz is expected to be powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine churning out an estimated 110 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. The Racer also boasts a sportier design with a redesigned front bumper, new alloy wheels, and a more dynamic interior. While the official price hasn’t been revealed, expect it to be slightly higher than the standard Altroz, which starts around Rs. 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom) Rs. 10 lakh (estimated ex-showroom).
MG Gloster 2024
MG Motor India has released a teaser image hinting at an upcoming update for the Gloster SUV. The official launch is set for June 5th. While details remain scarce, spy shots suggest a significant makeover for the front end, possibly inspired by the Maxus D90. This could include a bolder grille, vertically stacked headlights, and a sleek LED light bar running across the width.
Under the hood, the updated Gloster is likely to retain the current engine options: a 2.0-liter diesel engine producing 161 BHP and 375 Nm, and a more powerful 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel churning out 215 BHP and 480 Nm. Both engines are expected to be paired with the same 8-speed automatic transmission. Price estimates suggest a starting price of around Rs. 39.50 Lakh.
Maruti Dzire 2024
The all-new Maruti Dzire is expected to arrive sometime in June 2024. Under the hood, it will likely retain the familiar 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol engine (82 PS/108 Nm) seen on the new Japan-spec Swift.
This engine will likely be paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic. In terms of features, the 2024 Maruti Dzire is expected to get a larger touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, cruise control, push-button start/stop functionality, and even wireless phone charging. Maruti Suzuki could price the new Dzire starting from Rs 6.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
