Armenian-Slovenian relations have great potential - Alen Simonyan
ArmInfo.On June 3, the delegation led by the RA NA President Alen Simonyan being Ljubljana on an official visit took part in the event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Armenia-Slovenia diplomatic relations.
At the event the RA NA President Alen Simonyan and the NA President of the Republic of Slovenia Urska Klakocar Zupancic gave an opening speech.
The colleagues congratulated each other on the occasion of this symbolic year for the two countries and highlighted the firm friendly relations established during the three decades.
In his speech Alen Simonyan noted that political dialogue of high level and firm inter-parliamentary relations were formed between Armenia and Slovenia.
The Head of Parliament of Armenia highly assessed the interaction especially in the economic, humanitarian and cultural spheres.
"In recent years our relations registered progress in the parliamentary diplomacy, and the contacts and visits of high level witness it.
I deeply believe that our relations have a great potential for developing. As President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia I express my readiness to more boost the ties of the two countries for the benefit of our peoples," the NA President said.
At the event the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to the Republic of Armenia Mateja Prevolsek and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Slovenia Ashot Hovakimyan gave congratulatory speeches.
