Armenia to open its diplomatic missions in three countries
ArmInfo.Armenia intends to open a consulate general in Iranian Tabriz. RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan stated this on June 4 during discussions of the report on the implementation of the state budget of Armenia for 2023.
He noted that in addition to the consulate general in Iran, it is also planned to open an embassy in Cyprus and a diplomatic office in Serbia. Mirzoyan emphasized that of all three diplomatic missions, the closest in time will be the opening of an office in Belgrade. Work in all these areas is being carried out at an active pace.
The minister also noted that the issue of opening a representative office in Hungary is also being considered. It is planned that at the first stage, consulates of the two countries will be created in Yerevan and Budapest. "During my last visit to Hungary, the parties mutually expressed a desire to establish embassies of the two countries in the capitals of the two states. Work in this direction also continues," Mirzoyan said.
He recalled the opening of the embassies of Belgium, Canada and Qatar in Yerevan. For the first time, non- resident ambassadors from Luxembourg, Hungary, Chad, San Marino and Zimbabwe began working in Armenia.
