The lawyer to Raymond Dospesi, Mike Ozekhome has stated that he was not aware of any money given to his client by the office of the former National Security Adviser ( NSA) Sambo Dasuki.

The lawyer faulted media reports that his client, Dokpesi was arrested by operative of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an alleged payment of fund meant for the procurement of arms.
Ozekhome said that his client was not arrested saying that he only went to the office of EFCC on invitation.
He said: “I am not aware the chief collected any money.”
Premium Times reported that a source in the anti-graft agency disclosed that Dokpesi was quizzed by investigators because he received N2.1 billion from the office of NSA a day to the 2015 general election.
The EFCC stated that the suspected fund was allegedly paid for the documentaries and other advertisement run by Daar communications during the electioneering campaign.
“The chief called me earlier in the afternoon to say he received a call from the chairman of the EFCC wanting to see him and I sent one of my lawyers to accompany him. He was not arrested by any group of operatives,” the source said.
Dokpesi’s counsel stated that there were no prior formal communication between his client and the EFCC before the invitation on December 1.
“What I know is that the EFCC wrote to Daar Holdings asking for a list of directors and whether it has done any business or contract with the office of the NSA in the past and how much was involved.
“We wrote them a reply to say Daar did not do any contract with the office of the NSA and we are ready to give them all the information they need,” he stated.
The governor said that Jonathan and Okonjo-Iweala should be prosecuted since it had been established that they made approvals for which billions of dollars released for the procurement of arms for counter-terrorism operations
