EXCLUSIVE: My Wife Does Not Have A Choice Regarding Females Around Me – Francis Odega

The comedian Francis Odega ,who attained bigger status since his ‘gerrarahere’ catchphrase, is easing nicely into his new status as a ladies’ man.

In a recent exclusive chat with Naij.com, the movie actor and comedian explained his stance on the ‘new found’ attentions from admirers, claiming that his wife understands.

In response to how his wife copes with the truckload of female attention these days, he answered: “She doesn’t have a choice. Yes she doesn’t have a choice because I’m doing my job.

“And I always tell her that it is business, the attention comes with business. So when a female runs into me anywhere like maybe at a function I introduce her to my wife and all. One time a lady walked up to me and said to my wife ‘madam, I no sat she be your own but when una reach house una go continue because me I jus wan take picture with am’. So I mean she understands it.”

You see, my wife was one of my greatest, still is one of my greatest fans. I actually met her at a concert where she had come to watch me perform. And that’s how we started. So she understands my job.

As one who has come of age in the industry, having spent 20 years in it, we ask what he thinks of the current political situation in the country and he answered saying: “I am not a politician. I don’t talk politics.”

Francis Odega was once a radio host with fellow comedian Okey Bakassi on a show that didn’t gain traction.

In recent times his craft has hit an astronomical high with an endorsement deal with a telecoms company.

Francis is married to Chibuzor Odega whom he met at a show where he was a compere.
