Gov Aregbesola Attends Kumuyi’s Crusade, Opens Up On What Can Save Nigeria
Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state has asked Nigerians to seek God’s help over the current economic challenge facing the nation.
Addressing Christian faithful at a two-day crusade organised by the Deeper Life Christian Ministry in Osogbo, the governor said fervent prayers was one of the ways to make the current economic situation of the country better, The Guardian reports.
According to Aregbesola, the visit of Pastor Williams Folorunso Kumuyi, the general superintendent of the church to the state would go a long way in helping his administration and the good of the Osun people.

He said all Nigerians especially religious leaders, irrespective of religion and background must return to God in prayers in order to liberate Nigeria from its present cash crunch and other challenges facing the country.
Aregbesola said: “Without mincing words, our highly revered man of God has come to our state at the right time because Nigeria as a whole needs spiritual deliverance.

“We cannot but plead to our religious leaders to help this country in prayers, fasting and counseling for total delivery and liberation.”
The governor added that without quick intervention, the nation’s economy may be heading for the worst.
Lamenting the sharp drop in the global prices of crude oil, Aregbesola called for a real economic diversification.
He added that the nation has reached a stage where government at all levels must shift their attention from the dwindling fortunes of crude oil to agriculture.
The dwindling state of the country‘s economy is a cause for concern and economic analysts have said it needs urgent attention to save it from imminent collapse.
According to report, Nigeria’s benchmark stock index has plunged 22 percent since reaching a year-high on April 2, the day after Buhari was declared the winner of the presidential race. That’s the third-worst performance globally in the period, after the bourses in Ukraine and Egypt.
