Kogi Election: Group Of Professionals Tell Faleke What To Do
A body of professionals of Kogi state origin under the aegis of Kogi Renewal Group, have appealed to James Abiodun Faleke to bury the hatchet.
The group asked Faleke to accept the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s choice of Alhaji Yahaya Bello as the replacement for the late Prince Abubakar Audu in the interest of peace and progress of the party, Daily Trust reports.
In a statement signed by its chairman, Dr. Abubakar Yakubu, the group commended him for efforts during the campaign and asked him to tow party line.

They also asked him to join hands with APC’s choice, Bello in order to win the remaining election and rescue the state from the misrule of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Audu, the APC governorship candidate had died on Sunday after INEC declared the November 21 governorship election inconclusive.
INEC asked the party to pick a replacement for Audu and after consultations the party chose Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
However, Faleke, who was the running mate to the late Audu, rejected the deputy governorship slot, saying he could not accept the offer to be Bello’s running mate because he was already governor-elect.
Faleke, the deputy governorship candidate of the APC in the inconclusive Kogi election demanded that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declare him as governor-elect following the death of Audu.
