QA Lead - PS4: Six Foot, LLC

Six Foot was established in Houston in 2000 by a small band of dreamers with a shared love for art and digital technology. For more than a decade, Six Foot has worked to make interaction between people, brands, and technology more human and meaningful. Since 2012, we have been applying that same passion towards Grey Box’s vision of building extraordinary video games. Grey Goo and Dreadnought are the first two, and we are just getting started. Approaching 100 people, our team is a mix of game industry veterans and adventurers with backgrounds in video game development, video game publishing, and creative agencies. We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to help build, develop, and lead a team focused around testing Playstation 4 games. As a member of the QA team, you will report directly to the QA Manager and work closely with production, ensuring that all Playstation 4 testing  is completed in an effective and timely manner.
Job Responsibilities

Manage Playstation 4 testing team


Organize and execute testing on Playstation 4 for all Grey Box published games


Assist QA Manager in evaluating and hiring new testers for the PS4 team


Train new testers in hardware, process, and technique


Report testing results to QA Manager and Production


Assist in triaging bugs based on project milestones and goals


Create and iterate on detailed test plans for testers to run


Conduct 1-on-1s with testers to track progress and identify goals for personal growth


Any other tasks deemed appropriate by the QA Manager

Qualifications

An avid gamer with a passion for making great games


2+ years of lead or management experience in console development


Experience testing on Playstation 4


Knowledge of and experience testing TRCs


Strongly motivated self-starter


Knowledge of common terms and development practices


BA or BS from a four year university or equivalent real world experience


Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence a plus


Experience testing online-based games a plus


Experience testing free-to-play games a plus
