Donald Trump's words are being transformed into a book of poetry
Donald Trump is more than just a real estate mogul and a presidential candidate: At least in the eyes of publisher HarperCollins, he's also a poet. The publisher is releasing what it's calling a "treasury of spoken poetry" comprised of words — unaltered — uttered by The Donald himself. The book, Bard of the Deal, is compiled by author and reporter Hart Seely from over three decades of Trump material.
Here's one snippet, which was pulled from the Republican presidential candidate's appearance on NBC's Meet the Press Aug. 9:
"I was attacked viciously
By those women,
Of course, it's very hard for them
To attack me on looks,
Because I'm so good-looking.But I was attacked very viciously
By those women."
And another, in which Trump bemoans his love of junk food:
"Nabisco. Nabisco!
Oreos! Right?
Oreos! I love Oreos!
I'll never eat them again. OK?
I'll never eat them again.
No ... Nabisco."
Seely says it took him six weeks to leaf through hundreds of transcripts. "I've spent way too much time thinking about Trump," Seely said.
The book will be available in e-book and paperback formats on Dec. 15.
